The Show Mustache Go On!

Mustache lovers of all countries, unite! Unconditional supporters of the chevron, the Dali, the English, the

handlebar, the Fu-Manchu or the horseshoe variety: for Museum Night Fever the Military Museum rolls out

the red carpet for the nose rug!

When nosing around at the Military Museum the visitor quickly realizes every self-respecting soldier used

to sport quite some lip foliage. A manly mustache indeed was the epitome of virility! Would you like to meet

the men behind these mouth brows? Easy, as all night long the Vrije Podium actors bring back to life the

mustachioed portraits of the Historic Gallery (1)!

Feel more like personal action? The workshop The piano unboxed by Jeugd en Muziek Brussels (2) is then

definitely cut out for you. With musical rebels John Cage or Aphex Twins in mind you can, for once, let go

on a grand piano with hammers, brushes, ribbons and screws. We of course only selected songs by razor-shy

musicians such as Freddy Mercury, Prince or Lemmy from Motörhead!

Fans of master crumb-catcher Frank Zappa will undoubtedly be in heaven. Although this iconic lower brow

left us almost a quarter of a century ago, The Show Mustache Go On! Captain Cheesebeard (3) pays a

moving tribute to this pleasantly disturbed musical jack-of-all-trades. Enjoy an hourly gig inspired by this

master of alternative rock.
