On August 12 and 13 the WHI took part in Wings & Wheels with exceptional Cold War vehicles
The War Heritage Institute, the new Belgian heritage and remembrance institution under the Defence authority, presented six rare Soviet vehicles from the Warsaw Pact era: a rocket launcher (8x8 Baz/Zil 135 L4), a half-track (BTR 152), a T72 M tank, a Hungarian armoured vehicle PSZH-D-944 CP, a self-propelled gun 2S1 and an amphibious vehicle BRD M-1.
Wings & Wheels is an event for all those fascinated by military history, with one of Belgium’s largest military fairs of international scale, more than 400 selling and exhibition booths, some 400 reconstructions of 20th and 21st century conflicts, as well as with civilian and military vehicles and airplanes.
