Dear visitors,

The War Heritage Institute sites are once again open to the public and adapt their timetables during the end-of-year period.
Reservation is mandatory, either by email or by phone (during opening hours):

Royal Military Museum (open from 10 a.m. till 4 p.m.):

National Memorial of Fort Breendonk (open from 10 a.m. till 4 p.m.):

Trench of death (Dixmude) (open from 10 a.m. till 4 p.m.):

Gunfire (Brasschaat) (open van 11 uur tot 17 uur):

Bastogne Barracks (Bastogne) (open from 10 a.m. till 16 p.m.):

  • Opening days: 12 and 13 December / During the holidays, from 19 dec. onwards, open from Wednesday to Saturday (19, 20, 23, 24, 26, 27, 30, 31 December + 2 and 3 January)

Command bunker Kemmelberg (Heuvelland) (open from 10 a.m. till 16 p.m.):

Following measures will however have to be observed once again:

  • Ticket purchases can only be settled electronically;
  • Wearing a mask is mandatory, both in public spaces and in open air;
  • Group events and guided tours are suspended for the time being;
  • The Documentation Centre is accessible upon reservation.

The health and security measures are still applicable as well. It goes without saying that the War Heritage Institute meticulously follows all National Security Council guidelines in order to provide everyone with an opportunity to safely dive into History.
