In the wake of the opening of a new permanent exhibition on Antarctica in March 2016 the RMM now publishes a booklet of some forty pages exploring the subject even further.

Antarctica. A Belgian presence, supported by Defence since 1897 broaches the themes illustrated in the exhibition: the fabulous adventure of the Belgica at the end of the 19th century, the missions at the King Baudouin Base between 1957 and 1960 and finally the construction and operation of the Princess Elisabeth Base.
